Revit Modelers
Role Overview:
As a Revit Modeler at ArchConic, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, detailed 3D Building Information Models using Autodesk Revit. You’ll work across multiple disciplines including architecture, structure, and MEP systems to deliver precise models that support our clients’ design, coordination, and construction needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive 3D BIM models from conceptual designs, 2D drawings, and project specifications
- Create detailed architectural elements including walls, doors, windows, fixtures, and finishes with appropriate parametric information
- Model structural components such as foundations, beams, columns, and slabs according to engineering specifications
- Develop MEP systems modeling including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection with proper clearances and connections
- Ensure models comply with project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and Level of Development (LOD) requirements
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and resolve design conflicts early in the project lifecycle
- Generate accurate construction documentation including floor plans, elevations, sections, and schedules
- Participate in coordination meetings to address design issues and model refinements
- Support clash detection processes using Navisworks and other coordination tools
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Revit functionality, BIM standards, and industry best practices
CAD Draftsman
Role Overview:
As a CAD Draftsman at ArchConic, you will create precise technical drawings and documentation for architectural, engineering, and construction projects. You’ll be responsible for translating design concepts into detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings that meet project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings from conceptual sketches, markups, specifications, and client requirements
- Create comprehensive documentation including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules
- Modify existing drawings and update documentation based on design changes and client feedback
- Apply appropriate drafting standards, symbols, annotations, and dimensioning techniques
- Coordinate with project teams to implement design revisions and ensure drawing accuracy
- Perform quality control checks on drawings before submission
- Convert legacy drawings into CAD format as needed for ongoing projects
- Manage drawing revisions and maintain accurate drawing logs
- Organize CAD file structures according to project standards
- Support BIM teams by providing 2D drawing expertise and CAD-to-BIM transition assistance
- Coordinate with other drafters and designers to maintain consistency across project documentation
BIM Coordinator
Role Overview:
As a BIM Coordinator at ArchConic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration between different design disciplines and optimizing BIM workflows. You’ll lead coordination efforts, perform clash detection, and implement BIM standards to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate BIM model integration between architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty consultants
- Set up and manage project collaboration platforms (BIM 360, Revizto, etc.) for effective multi-disciplinary coordination
- Perform systematic clash detection analyses using Navisworks or similar tools
- Lead clash resolution meetings and document issue resolution processes
- Develop and implement project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) in alignment with client requirements
- Conduct regular model quality checks and audits to ensure compliance with BIM standards and LOD requirements
- Manage model federation processes and coordinate shared coordinates across disciplines
- Create coordination reports and track resolution of design conflicts
- Train team members on BIM standards, workflows, and best practices
- Facilitate model-based collaboration throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop custom Revit templates, families, and workflows to enhance productivity
- Liaise with clients and project managers regarding BIM deliverables and coordination issues
BIM Manager
Role Overview:
As the BIM Manager at ArchConic, you will provide strategic leadership for our BIM implementation across all projects. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining BIM standards, managing team performance, and ensuring that our BIM deliverables exceed client expectations. This senior role combines technical expertise with management skills to drive innovation and efficiency in our BIM processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide BIM standards, protocols, and workflows
- Lead the creation of comprehensive BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for complex building projects
- Oversee technical aspects of BIM implementation across multiple projects simultaneously
- Manage BIM team performance, including resource allocation, skill development, and workload distribution
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide mentorship to BIM staff
- Ensure compliance with client BIM requirements, industry standards, and contractual obligations
- Evaluate and implement new BIM technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency
- Develop custom tools, templates, and content libraries to enhance productivity
- Collaborate with project managers to establish BIM deliverables, timelines, and quality control processes
- Provide strategic BIM guidance and technical solutions for complex design challenges
- Lead client presentations and stakeholder meetings regarding BIM capabilities and deliverables
- Analyze and optimize BIM workflows to improve efficiency and reduce production costs
- Monitor industry trends and incorporate best practices into company procedures
- Develop and conduct internal BIM training programs for staff development
Civil 3D Specialist
Role Overview:
As a Civil 3D Specialist at ArchConic, you will be responsible for creating and managing detailed Civil 3D models for infrastructure and land development projects. Your expertise will support our comprehensive BIM approach by integrating civil engineering elements with architectural and structural models. You’ll deliver accurate designs for roads, grading, drainage systems, and site utilities that meet project requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop complex Civil 3D models for infrastructure design, including roads, highways, and site development projects
- Create detailed digital terrain models, surface models, alignments, profiles, and corridor designs
- Design and model grading plans, drainage systems, stormwater management solutions, and erosion control measures
- Produce utility plans including water supply, sanitary sewer, and stormwater networks with proper connections and clearances
- Generate accurate quantity takeoffs, material schedules, and design documentation
- Coordinate civil design integration with architectural and structural BIM models
- Perform quality control checks on civil models to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
- Create visualization materials to communicate design intent to clients and stakeholders
- Support engineering calculations and analyses related to earthwork, drainage, and utilities
- Develop custom Civil 3D templates, styles, and workflows to enhance productivity
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve site-related design conflicts
- Maintain Civil 3D content libraries including pipe networks, assemblies, and subassemblies
